Today is international “Meatout” day. I celebrated it over the weekend by cooking as much meat as I could and stuffing it into some bloggers.
I even had a token vegetarian on hand for karmic purposes.
The weather really conspired against me however and not everything turned out the way I would have hoped. But at least everyone liked the cornbread.
Attendees included Damian, Canadian Headhunter, Right Girl, Kathy and Greg Staples thanks for putting up with the rather confused nature of my catering guys!

Don’t forget to post links to the recipes!
You really need your own Punk Rock Cookout show.

I’ll do a guest shot on the special “sausage party” show! Would there be a copyright problem using “Six Pack” as the theme?

Good one!

Rick, you totally missed the 3 kinds o sausages: homemade Octoberfest, all beef and another one.
You’re theme song could be Meat Is Murder full blast. Your kitchen is big enough to film in. I’m serious! You are funny enough that it would be very entertaining.

I love animals! They’re delicious!

The other sausage was a Bratworst.
Your right about my kitchen being big enough to film in.
Although if I had my own cooking show I soon would be bigger than the kitchen (around the belly that is).

Your model should be Grillin’ & Chillin’, the best cooking show I ever saw. It featured a non-asshole Bobby Flay and this big southern dude in overalls, and they seemed well lit up for the whole half hour. You could almost smell the skunk coming off the screen.
They filmed outdoor, with Bobby extolling the virtues of his candy-ass propane grill, while the southern dude swore by his charcoal Weber and cast aspersions on Flay’s manhood. Every now and then they’d turn around and look at this pond in the background and talk about the big crocodile in there, waiting for both of them. Like I said - they were pretty stoned.

Sigh.
Nobody warns me about these obscure holidays beforehand so that I can celebrate them properly.
I’ve no doubt that the pulled pork sammiches I had for lunch today would have tasted even better on Meatout Day…
